All the days (2005)

All the days

White bowls float on black water, moved very slowly by currents caused by two sets of tiny underwater pumps.  These alternate in use, resulting in an unrepeatable flux of movement, so the bowls do not collect in one area.)  Into the boat interior is projected a slide of clouds in a blue sky, which is only obviously apparent in the bowls. As the bowls move, the clouds seem also to be moving. The outer world has become the interior, within the inundated body of the boat.

(originally, dedicated to the victims of the Tsunami and the New Orleans storm and floods)
